Accept Donations with PayPal

Do you want your website to accept donations from generous web visitors? Setup is quite easy and all you really need is a Paypal account. Paypal is one of the most popular payment processors in the world wide web. They are accepted in over a hundred countries, website, and online stores to date.

To add a Paypal Donation button to your website, follow these steps:

1. Log-in to your Paypal account.
2. Go to Merchant Tools.
3. The page will shift to a different one. On the left panel, look for Donations. Click on it.
4. Select Accept payments for Donations.
5. Type in your organization name or service name, together the Donation ID of your choice.
6. If you want to customize the button, you can do so. However, it is always simpler to use the default Paypal Donate button.
7. Choose your currency.
8. Select whether you want donors to choose their own amount or if you would rather set a fixed amount yourself.
9. Choose from Merchant ID or plain text e-mail address for the transaction.
10. Click on Create the button.
11. Copy the code generated and paste it in a notepad.
12. Log out of Paypal.
13. Log-in to your website’s configuration page or admin panel.
14. Add the donation code you got from Paypal’s website and paste it anywhere you want in your website.

The button should appear on the next refresh. Your visitors will now be able to support you and your causes by forwarding some donations to your website.
